Job Description US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED#LI-NP1The Engineering,
Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises
the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the

strong execution.What You'll Do:
- Conduct mission/program specific real-time spacecraft/satellite
flight operations.
- Provide technical direction for on-orbit mission support, plans
for critical vehicle malfunctions and recommends alternate
operating techniques to continue maximum mission support.
- Provide failure analysis of the performance of the orbiting
satellites to include subsystems and instruments.
- Utilize system software to accomplish all spacecraft control
tasks and improvements.
- Support test and validation of software performance.
- Perform a variety of activities associated with the analysis of
both ground operational systems and spacecraft operational
systems.
- Establishment, implementation, and maintenance of standardized
operating procedures.
- Issuance of instructions to and coordination with appropriate
elements of the Satellite Control Network (SCN), and/or other
government organizations.
- Accomplishment of conflict resolution that supports the
acquisition, tracking, commanding, control, and telemetry data
acquisition for space vehicles.
- Support of operational transition of satellites to different
ground support complexes as required.
- Creation, validation, and compliance with documentation
products.
- Implementation of anomaly response plans to include, at a
minimum, participation in tiger-team discussions, propose and
evaluate recovery actions, and implementation of approved
solutions.
- Accomplishment of mission and pre-pass planning, scheduling,
orbit analysis and orbit product generation functions, as well as
the required coordination to achieve contact success.
- Accomplishment of real-time evaluation of spacecraft, payload,
and ground systems status in accordance with established mission
requirements.
- Accomplishment of real-time trend analysis that includes but is
not limited to, the identification of anomalous conditions.
- Provide initial troubleshooting of operational problems, assist
in determination of root causes, documentation of these problems,
and participate in corrective and prevention activities.
- Issue commands, directives, and other instructions to fixed,
deployable, and mobile-tracking stations within specified
timelines.
- Conduct post-pass critiques with tracking stations and other
real-time support work centers and participate in technical
meetings.
- Maintain daily activity logs, that provide an accurate summary
of operations and maintenance events as well as end-of-mission
reports.
- Maintenance of data, historical files and logs of operational
support provided, as well as report contact statistics daily.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within
the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic
Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with
others in order to maintain a positive and productive work
environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary. On-Site Work Environment:
This position requires regular in-person engagement by working
on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work
location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and
other possible non-company locations may be required.Working
Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor,
or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of
protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather
conditions.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field
is required plus 6 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may
substitute for two years of experience. Related technical
experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be
from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an
agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department
of Education.
- A current, active TS/SCI with a CI Polygraph security clearance
is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ground and vehicle systems for
spacecraft operations.
- Solid System engineering / SEIT skills.Pay InformationFull-Time
Salary Range: $94728 - $161038Please note: This range is based on
our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are
determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to:
business considerations, local market conditions, and internal
equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills,
