• Amazing health benefitsJob DetailsJob Details:We are on the hunt for a dynamic, experienced, and dedicated Permanent EH&S Manager to join our team in the manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting a culture of safety and well-being throughout our organization. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in EH&S, risk assessment, occupational health, safety management, and industrial hygiene. Experience in the food manufacturing sector is a plus.Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the EH&S programs in line with the company's goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines.
  • Ensure the organization complies with all current health and safety legislation, and any future legislation that becomes applicable.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on health and safety protocols.
  • Lead investigations into any incidents or accidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on EH&S performance for the plant manager and senior management.
  • Promote a positive safety culture within the organization through communication, training, and accountability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive EH&S initiatives.Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an EH&S role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
    • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant health and safety regulations.
    • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification is preferred.
    • Excellent understanding of risk assessment and management principles.
    • Experience in policy development and implementation.
    • Proven ability to conduct training and awareness programs.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EH&S management systems.
    • Experience in the food manufacturing industry is a plus.
